How do I use the boosts?

Starting from version 1.10.0 you can use different boosts while completing the puzzles. Please note that the boosts are available only on iPad, but not on iPhone devices.

Click on the green button in the bottom right corner to activate the boosts.

1)The Miracle frame button allows you to choose only the edge puzzle pieces

2) The Miracle magnet allows you to automatically join two puzzle pieces together, it can be used only for 42 and 72 levels of difficulty

3) This button opens the preview image of the puzzle

4) The Miracle hint button sets the puzzle preview as a background image, so you can easily complete the picture

1) This Magical line button allows you to automatically complete any horizontal line of the puzzle   

2) This Magical line button allows you to automatically complete any vertical line of the puzzle      

3)  The Super power button allows to choose any 3x3 square on the game board and it will automatically complete         

 

Please note that those 3 boosts are available only on 288 and 550 levels of difficulty.

 

The boosts can be bought with coins, click on the plus sign next to the boost you would like to buy when no such boost left.
Starting from version 2.12.0 we changed this option, now you can buy 10 boosts at once.

    Managed to recover ALL packs after second reinstall. This time with IN APPS PURCHASES enabled before reinstalling.

    Should not however matter when you enable

    Still got issue with August 31st. A minor issue which will be solved soon hopefully. Love to know why this is happening for a lot of us. You are one of the lucky ones Marcela.

    The major hope is that it DOES NOT CRASH. Of course apart from not locking anymore a amendment to the irritating new boosts will be a hopeful addition to what we have been informed.

    Cannot see why minor bug fixes could not have been made earlier.

    The crashing especially needed an urgent update

    They could also have provided an update for the auto locking feature and making it an opt in option not the default

    Am not hopeful though of the crashes being fixed entirely they seem to random or the new boosts going or made an option. They surely would have said I would have thought so that the complaints were stopped being made about them. At least temporary.

    After second reinstall recovered ALL PACKS & COINS. Enabled In - Apps purchases first though this SHOULD NOT matter.

    Missing the August 31st puzzle still.

    Not confident about the new update will be Bug free though or the Crashes being fixed.

    One good thing the Auto Locking SHOULD be gone as long as it works. Not confident though about the other features introduced in the last disastrous update. They would have mentioned them to stop the complaints about them wouldn't they????

    Also the crashing should have been fixed in an interim update like they do in other apps. No way should people have been without this app because of it, especially when they have paid for it.

    The auto - locking could have also been adjusted/deleted in an interim update. It was after all a major concern. The fun & skill element were no longer there!!!!

    Have heard that the September pack is to corrected in the next update!!!!!!

    Let's hope the update is worth the wait and does not crash.

    Hope it contains a revision of the new boosts as well as the reversal of the auto - lock. Did one puzzle recently and a large block locked into place in the centre. Took all the sense of achievement away straight away

    Thought the update was due by now. Not surprised though. Let's hope it's worth the wait though ANY IMPROVEMENT would be welcome as long as it's an interim measure before the FULL REVERSAL of the new boosts.

    Glad to see latest update as FINALLY arrived. Only a week late!!!!
    From what I can see of the update since they HAVE NOT altered the boosts in any way the locking feature could have been dealt with a lot earlier than today.
    Will need to keep pressing for changes. Cannot see why the edges/ viewing picture, standard in all puzzle apps are not available for free.
    Has anyone managed to get daily bonus???? I've done several puzzles and not got any promised bonus yet.

    From FB post, 1 so far, looks like it doesn't work smoothly, again, player lost all in the update, works for you ok Martin? The move suppose to be back. I'm waiting for report from those idealistic players, who dare to update!

    Update did not cause problems as far as I can see. The locking in place is now gone and you can move pieces off the board. One good piece of good news. Although the boosts remain like they were. Cannot see why the locking in place could not have been solved earlier in an interim update or "edge only" included now. An update should have been issued as soon as they knew that the previous update was causing crashes!!!!

    My friends is on automatic update mode and she did not have any problems too, so I will give it a go. Boost are easy to ignore, but the edge pieces must come back too. I'm totally astonished how the company handles these issues, I said it sooo many times, every other app developers are instantly updating almost every day, most of the time I don't even know there is problem, it's really amazing, in bad sense of the matter.

    Well, guess what, my lack of confidence was well justified. Completed step one-update, now on to step 2-reinstall, and I'm hoping, mainly for my sake, it won't come to step 3!

    Well, I see the update has finally arrived and initial impression... not much has changed. They say the locking feature is gone, but I am not currently far enough along in a puzzle to test this claim. Unfortunately nothing regarding the 'cheats' has changed, including them charging for the use of viewing edge pieces only. A bit disappointed.

    I subscribe to the theory that some businesses think that if they ignore customer feedback and complaints long enough the customers will eventually stop complaining and forget what they're so angry about. They're sort of right, if they ignore the fact that they potentially lose a lot of those customers that were the ones giving the feedback and complaints. And App based businesses like Ximad, the maker of Magic Puzzles, depend on customer loyalty in order to sell their newest puzzle pack releases to. Loyal customers respond well to companies that respond to customer feedback.

    Hi Jen. You will be glad that the pieces do not lock in place. You can even move the pieces off the board again.
    Nothing else changes it is still crashing. I advised one to enable "In App Purcases" BEFORE re - installing. She did that however half her packs were not there to restore. She is waiting for Am I Mad to get back.
    I also agree with you Jen that as a business they do not care for their users. They would have addressed our concerns. The crashing issue SHOULD have been sorted before the latest update. It seems though it is still happening. My review of the app includes my thoughts on this despite it has not happened to me this time (as yet!!!!) Only gave it two stars though maybe it should have been only one. Have already submitted two emails (Daily Bonus & Home Menu) with third to be sent, number of boosts is still switching. Have already mentioned this to no avail.
    Trust all went well on your re- install Marcela with no lost coins/ packs.

    Lock is gone, but they left the fade in place, now you can do both, I like it. Have a lot of work to do, since I lost all of the progress, I hate THAT.

    Hi Marcela . Sorry to hear about the loss of progress. I take it you managed to get all your packs & coins back.
    Have you re - synced through "My Account". If so can "Am I Mad" help through your User name or email address?

    I had to re register each time, got all the packs back and most of the progress, this time no coins, no progress and back to level 1 from 10. I emailed ximad about it, I really want all that back. The previous reinstall missed only half of my coins. I sincerely hope, they know, how to do it. I save all the puzzles to my album, so at least I can keep track. Hoping against hope, I just knew it won't open after this update, and it didn't disappoint, so far no further crashing. I'm very happy about the puzzle move and I'm glad they left the fade. My friend never had any problems, she is one of the very few lucky ones.
    Is re sync the same as register?

    Hi Marcela. If you have registered your account then you can recover all your packs, progress & coins through My Account. XIMAD can also restore everything back from your User Name/ email address if problems arise.
    Do not think they can do it if your account is not registered.

    I registered immediately from the start, how I restore my coins and progress then, couldn't figure it out yet. I just came here from FB, emotions running high! Some people don't like the frame move, they could bring both as option, I hope they won't mess with that anymore!

    If you go into "My Account" you can download what puzzles you like. You should also get your progress & coins back.

    Have not seen comments on Magic Puzzles Community about Frame Move. Is there another site?
    If not XIMAD will be able to restore from your User Name/ email. Emphasise how many coins you had and how many you lost after the last update.

    I've done all that, starting to be real pro in re downloading my packs, and emailing about the coin problem. The move comments are in the last thread on the right side of the page.

    Martin, something great just happened! I tried to re register once more, just for the heck of it, and it WORKED! Got everything back, coins, packs, progress, the lot!!!!! Happy!!

    Still not happy. The newest update only fixed ONE of the many complaints from the LAST update! Why did it take soooo long to fix just one issue? You all have had enough time by now to fix ALL of them!!! I still refuse to PAY for options that used to be FREE! We should not have to pay to see just the edge pieces! Still really pissed off about that change!

    Which issue they fixed? Any new functions, bonuses, etc.? Mine is working fine now, after 2 months, so I'm not updating.

    Marcela, they fixed the locking in place issue. The pieces can be moved around again like before.

    That was back in the last week update, they should make the move lock as an option, as some new players complaining about it, but that would mean a new update, I don't have strength to wrestle it anymore, I'm staying with the previous one, has all I need.

    Wondering why I have to use coins to buy the edge pieces? Never had to before latest update...i don't like this part! Love the puzzles otherwise!

    Yes you can move any "locked" puzzle pieces whenever you want by pressing down and dragging it over. This will clear up blank space to construct other parts of the puzzle.

    Today is April 1st. There is no puzzle pack (either free or for pay) at the puzzle store. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? It seems as if there is no consistency as to the time of day each new day's puzzle becomes available, but this is the first time there has been no new puzzle for the new month at all! Anyone else notice this?
